New Slow Cooker recipe!

What’s up everyone?! I wanted to list what I did for a new slow cooker recipe, if you feel like you may want to switch things up a bit, this one may be a good option for you.

In the slow cooker:

2.5-3lbs of bone in skin on chicken thighs

8-12 oz of chicken bone broth

half a bag of celery cut into inch long sticks

1 can of garbanzo beans

1 lemon squeezed in with 1 lime

garlic powder and salt

I let it ride on low for 16-24 hrs

When it is time to take out I remove the bones and place everything else into a larger dish.

When I went to plate I added a little bit of feta cheese with a baby cucumber and pickle cut up…

I ate this after my workout and felt great. The texture was also great as you get some soft mushy acidic flavors mixed in with the crunch from the cucumber and pickle. This meal is very well balanced from a macro-nutrient standpoint as well as you have multiple proteins present from the chicken and garbanzo beans with a bit of carbs from the beans and fat from the skin and thighs of the chicken and cheese. If you are looking for something easy but a bit different I would give this one a try!
